Year End 2010

Here's the collection from the 2010 season, or at least a good part of it.
27 contests in 9 states
8 Grand Champions:  Scottsdale, AZ; Rock Springs, AZ; Boulder City, NV; Pueblo, CO; Williams, AZ; Boise, ID; Midwest City, OK; Buckeye, AZ
6 Reserve Grand Champions:  Chandler, AZ; Durango, CO; Vista, CA;
Valley Center, CA; Lancaster, CA; Tucson, AZ
11 additional Top Ten finishes, 9 in the top five
Not pictured:  the priceless memories gained
along the way, spending time with our fellow teams.

There they are, our own little lineup of monoliths, the awards for KCBS
Team of the Year categories.  Rhythm 'n QUE finished in 7th place Overall
among a field of over 4000 scored teams, and 10th in chicken, 7th in ribs,
7th in pork and 15th in brisket.  There aren't many teams in the country that
have a matched set of five of these this year, and we're quite proud of ours.

<< November 13:
Back to Buckeye, Rhythm 'n QUE took
on a 49-team field and emerged as
Grand Champion.  It's always a fine day when you get to stand next to RGCs Johnny and Trish Trigg!

>> October 30:
Just down the road in Tucson, RnQ enjoyed the beautiful weather and turned in 6th chicken, 7th ribs and 2nd pork for  Reserve Grand Champion.

<< October 23:
For the second year in a row,
Rhythm 'n QUE comes back from
the Jack with a blue ribbon!
This year, we are so proud to
have been awarded
First Place Sauce
at the Jack Daniel's Invitational
World Championship BBQ.

>> October 9:
After a three-week layoff, RnQ shook the rust off in Lancaster, CA, turning in 2nd chicken, 2nd ribs and 4th pork for  Reserve Grand Champion.
The real story of the weekend, though, was that we got to help out with a Master Judge candidate's team cook requirement.
Read about it here.

<< August 21:
At the first-ever Sam's Club
Invitational BBQ Bash in Midwest
City, OK, Rhythm 'n QUE competed in a field of top KCBS Team of the Year contenders and turned in 5th chicken, 6th ribs, 9th pork and 1st brisket for
Grand Champion.
Story and photos here.

SEVEN!!!

^^ July 23-24:
At the 1st Annual Boise Music
Festival, RnQ took 1st in chicken,
1st in ribs, 1st in pork, 4th in brisket
and nailed our SEVENTH qualifying
Grand Championship, the first team in the nation to gain automatic entry by 7 into this year's Jack Daniel's
Invitational World Championship.
For our third consecutive year,
we'll see you in Lynchburg!

One team, one weekend,
two states, two contests!
July 3-4:  RnQ started the fireworks early at the inaugural Northern Arizona BBQ Festival in Williams, AZ, with 2nd in chicken, 5th in ribs, 1st in pork, 1st in brisket and Grand Champion!  We then headed over to Durango, CO's Smokin' 4th of July to turn in 1st in chicken, 5th in ribs, 7th in pork and Reserve Grand Champion.
What a weekend!

<< June 5:  The water was FINE!
Tradition dictates that the winner in Pueblo, CO has to jump in the river -- and with 5th chicken, 1st pork, 1st brisket and our second
Grand Championship in as many weeks, RnQ was all wet!  More here.

>>  May 29:  High rolling in Nevada!  RnQ stood up from the table with 1st in chicken, 1st in ribs, 1st in pork and

<< May 2:  It was a breezy weekend
(to say the least) in Rock Springs, AZ, but a first-place brisket blew Rhythm 'n QUE to
Grand Champion.  Details and photos here.

Hey!  We were the April 2010 "Cookers of the Month" interviewed by Exec. Chef Steve Overlay of Memphis Championship Barbecue in Las Vegas!
Such a nice writeup, we're still blushing!  Read it all here.
